Bushline Hut

The place

14-bunk DOC "serviced" hut at 1,280 m on the bushline in Nelson Lakes National Park (Nelson/Tasman, NZ), with views over Lake Rotoiti and the St Arnaud Range. Sleeping platforms with mattresses, wood burner with wood supplied, cold water from a tank, outside toilets, camping permitted outside. Access 2 h 30 from Mount Robert Road via Paddy's Track or Pinchgut Track (Mt Robert Circuit). Rates: adults $25/night, children $12.50, under 4 free; camping $10/5/0. Online booking (bookings.doc.govt.nz) open until 30 June 2027, closes at 8 pm for same-day bookings. Isolated car parks prone to theft: do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
