The place

Mountain hut managed by Bergen og Hordaland Turlag (DNT) on a ledge overlooking Ortnevik at the Sognefjord, at the entrance to the protected landscape area of Stølsheimen (Vestland, Norway). Seven beds in total: four in the living room and three on lofts upstairs. No running water or electricity; three-burner gas stove, wood stove, outdoor toilet. Duvets, pillows and blankets provided; sleeping bag liner or sleeping bag to bring yourself. Unlocked hut, accessible year-round; bring your own food (no supplies on site). Booking possible via hyttebestilling.dnt.no. About an hour's access from Storedalen at Ortnevik (parking at 100 m elevation), 2.6 km of marked T trail.
