The place

Shelter (sruby) built by hikers and volunteers from slate and wood salvaged from the ruins of a former slate-splitting workshop, in the Budišovka valley at Staré Oldřůvky (municipality of Budišov nad Budišovkou, Opava district, Moravia-Silesia). Located near a former slate quarry's spoil heap, on the Vítkov ridge in the Nízký Jeseník range, accessible via the Břidlicová educational trail. A fire pit area is set up in front of the cabin, with usage rules posted on the door. The cabin itself is now kept locked due to repeated vandalism: only the outdoor area and fire pit remain usable. Coordinates: 49°46'27' N, 17°39'22' E.
