Ötztal Valley Refuge: On the Way to the Wildspitze The Ötztal Valley refuge, nestled on the path leading to the summit of the Wildspitze at 3774m altitude, is a large refuge offering exceptional comfort. Staffed Period Mid-June to end of September (2016 information: 18 June to 25 September). Capacity: . 50 places in rooms. . 110 places in dormitory/mattress. Outside the Staffed Period Winter room for 22 people (annex to the main refuge). Equipment: mattresses, blankets, equipped kitchen (bring your own food), solar battery lighting, wood stove with wood supply. Services Shower and sauna (small). CAF reciprocity*Ötztal Valley: car access to the village of Vent at 1900m, with mandatory paid parking in Vent. Access and Route Ascent via a north-west path (possible approach by chairlift up to 2356m). Another ascent path starting from Rofen after Vent.
