The place
Guarded refuge at 2,493 m on the Lago delle Rosole at Santa Caterina Valfurva, in the Ortles-Cevedale group (Lombardy), within the Stelvio National Park. One hundred beds in season and eight in the winter room. Run by the Alberti/Confortola family. Facing the Forni glacier, with views of the Cevedale (3,769 m), the Palòn de la Mare (3,708 m) and the Vioz (3,645 m). A base for high-altitude mountaineering and trekking.
