Basic two-bed bivouac managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC) in Fiordland National Park, Lake Monowai/Borland Road area, southern Fiordland (South Island, New Zealand), at 789 meters elevation. Free access. Biosecurity alert: Lake Monowai is contaminated with didymo, but Borland Burn, Green Lake, and the Greb River remain free of it; apply check-clean-dry precautions for water activities and do not draw drinking water from the lake.
