Boo Boo Hut

The place

Basic 4-bunk DOC hut at 609 m in the Kokatahi-Whitcombe sector (West Coast, NZ), Hokitika area. Free. Unmaintained DOC track: occasional maintenance by Permolat. The 3-wire bridge "The Twins" that used to link Boo Boo to Crawford Junction Hut has now been dismantled: walking along the left bank is possible, but other crossings require careful assessment of water conditions.
