The place

Stopover cabin on the Höga Kustenleden long-distance trail in Skuleskogen National Park (Höga Kusten, Ångermanland, Västernorrland county), at the head of a narrow but deep inlet where sailboats or motorboats can moor (6 m depth just a few metres from shore). The cabin is fitted with four double beds open to all, a table, chairs, an indoor fireplace and an outdoor hearth. Capacity of 8 on mattresses — bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. A trail passes right in front and leads to the nearby Balestjärnen (a crystal-clear lake popular with children). Tent sites available nearby. Coordinates: 63° 11.138′ N, 18° 41.949′ E.
