The place

Unstaffed CAI Torino bivouac at 2803 m in Courmayeur (Val Ferret, Aosta Valley), near the Grandes Jorasses on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif. Capacity 24 places. Built in 1881, renovated in 1944, 1984 and 2016. Dedicated to two Turin mountaineers who died in 1938.
