Blyth Hut

The place

Serviced backcountry DOC hut with 18 bunks in Tongariro National Park (Ruapehu area), at 1,380 m elevation. Wood-stove heating with firewood supplied annually by helicopter — use sparingly. Fees (until 30 June 2026): NZ$25 adult, NZ$12.50 youth (5-17), free under 5; visitor centre/phone service fee NZ$10. Online bookings available through 30 June 2027; same-day bookings until 8 pm subject to availability.
