Bluff Hut

The place

Basic six-bunk hut managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC), in the Hokitika region on the West Coast of the South Island, in the Kokatahi and Whitcombe rivers area. Access via mountain trails into a remote valley. Payment via Standard Hut Tickets or Backcountry Hut Pass deposited in the honesty box; no advance booking, first come first served. Rates: 10 NZD/night adult (18+), 5 NZD/night youth (5-17 years), free for under 5s.
