The place

Sleeping places: 9 Places on mattresses: 9 Indoor equipment: - 9 bunks with mattresses and blankets - 1 table + 2 benches - A few stools Water: - Nearby water comes only from glacier melt. Bivouac located deep in the Valnontey valley at the foot of Becca di Gay (3621 m). From Valnontey, head up the valley following waymarked path 22; after 6 km you reach the start of the difficult section, and after crossing the large torrent (a big one) on the footbridge (impassable without it) to reach the right bank, continue on the path, leave on your left the turn-off climbing towards Alpe Money, and further on take the next path on the right, waymarked 22F. After crossing the lower part of the moraine, somewhat overgrown with vegetation, you make a steep climb up it with a turn towards the southeast; once you reach the upper plateau, the path leaves the moraine to descend south onto this plateau, then you cross the stream coming from the glacier (heading upstream for 100 m, you'll find a spot where the stream is easier to cross); the path continues with a steep climb up a rocky step, turning east, which brings you easily to the bivouac from behind.
