Bivouac Pointes de Tsérié

The place

Extraordinary bivouac at 2710 m on the Pointes de Tsérié, in the Vaud/Valais Alps (commune of Conthey, Switzerland). Magnificent capsule for a hermit wanting to travel outside of time and the world, delicately set down by helicopter on the summit. In front of the capsule, a small anachronistic terrace fitted with a table and three concrete stools. The door closes with a crowbar. Capsule two metres by two. Very distinctive shape, somewhere between a rocket and a giant half-suppository. Fully metal exterior (probably copper), anchored to the ground by various cables: a genuine Faraday cage that won't budge even in a strong wind. Access from Loutze (above Ovronnaz) via the Chemin de Chamosentze (driveable in summer on a rough track), then the path to the Cabane Rambert, via the Refuge Jules Biollaz and the north side of the Pointes (little-used route).
