The place

Sleeping spots planned: 4 Sleeping spots on mattresses: 4 Indoor equipment: - 4 bunks (rather short) with mattress, blankets and pillow. - 1 shelf to put down gear (careful with gas burners as the bunk is nearby). Water: A stream runs 20 m east of the bivouac. This bivouac is in the Vallone di Lavina, south of the Col Bardoney, at the foot of the Torre di Lavina. From Lillaz, at the head of the Cogne valley: - Take trail no. 13 which goes to the Col Bardonney; before Bardonney this trail is shared with the Alta Via no. 2. After passing the Bardoney alpage (farm, cattle herd), climb the Bardoney valley due south toward the col of the same name. Cross the [->5944], then follow the red waymarks toward "Forzo" (waymarking is very tight in this area, often shrouded in fog). From Forzo or Tressi (Val di Forzo, Pont Cavanese): - Climb the Forzo stream along its left bank, red/white marked trail. CAI - Torino Section.
