Bivouac Luigi Revelli

The place

CAI Torino bivouac inaugurated on 7 October 1956, on a central ridge of the Vallone di Ciardonei, a wild tributary of the Vallone di Forzo right in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park. Wooden structure clad in sheet metal, dedicated to the academic Luigi Revelli, who died on 3 July 1955 in the Lourousa canyon, in the Alpes-Maritimes. Six bunks, open year-round. Access from Forzo, a hamlet of Ronco Canavese (1178 m), via a grade-E trail in about 4 h 30. Outdoor water source a hundred metres away. Management entrusted to the GEAT sub-section.
