The place
Bivouac with a metal exterior frame and wooden interior finishes, perfectly insulated, located at 2800 m altitude in the Mont-Cenis - Gran Paradiso sector. Built by the Gérard family in memory of Devis Gérard, who died in the mountains at 17. 10 beds, very comfortable. At the foot of the western slope of the Torre di Lavina.

Getting there
Follow the marked trail 13E east, cross a stream on a metal footbridge, climb the steep, well-marked trail. At the head of the valley, ascending traverse to the SE towards the Torre di Lavina; a fitted water source just before the bivouac.

Mont-Cenis / Gran Paradiso border, high mountains between Italy and France.
