Bivouac de Bella Tola

The place

Bivouac at 2927 m on the south-west slope of a saddle between the Bella Tola (south-east) and the Rothorn trig point (north-west, 2998 m), in the Val d'Anniviers (Valais, Switzerland), with an exceptional panoramic view. Possible overnight stay by the shore of Lac de Bella Tola and sunrise at the Phare de Griolet at 3000 m. Access by funicular from the village of Saint-Luc up to Alp Tignousa, at the edge of the forest; departure from Tignousa, a stage on the Sierre-Zinal route. Built for the 90th anniversary of the Société de Développement de Saint-Luc.
