The place

Bivouac at 3540 m at the col between the Dent Blanche and the Grand Cornier (Valais, Switzerland), managed by the CAS Jaman - 1800 Vevey section. Massive hexagonal stone structure, starting point for mountaineering routes on the ridges of these two peaks. Comfortably equipped, with no permanent kitchen. Capacity 15 people. Open year-round. Demanding access from Ferpècle via the Dent Blanche glacier, 5 to 6 hours of alpine travel with trail traces and cairns, glacier crossing sometimes requiring full alpine gear. Impressive view of the peaks from the Weisshorn to the Dent Blanche via the Zinalrothorn and the Ober Gabelhorn.
