Bivouac Carmagnola

The place

Bivouac at 2840 m in the upper Maira valley, in the Traversiera valley, just below the Colle della Coletta (Acceglio, Piedmont, Italy). Owned by the commune of Acceglio, set up in collaboration with CAI Carmagnola. Capacity of 10 places: 9 bunk beds (3 sets of 3) plus 1 above the entrance with a mattress and pillow. Equipment: 1 table, 1 bench with 3 stools, solar-panel electricity, emergency call device, first-aid kit. Access from Acceglio via the Traversiera track up to the pass, or from the French side from Maljasset via the Col de l'Autaret then the Granges and the south-east climb to the Coletta. Abundant water sources during the Autaret-side climb.
