Bivouac Arno

The place

Unstaffed bivouac at 2662 m at the summit of the Punta del Couis, on the ridge separating the Aosta Valley and the Cogne valley. Interior equipment: a table with 2 seats and a "panoramic bar" (bring your own drinks). 2 places. From Epinel: car park at the west entrance to the village, or lower down near a small stadium along the stream; path no. 1 towards Colle Drinc at 2560 m via a long ascending traverse (along the power line) to the col, then due east along the ridge leading to the bivouac in about ten minutes. From Pila: from the ski resort above Aosta, path no. 23 to Col Drinc, then the bivouac via the ridge.
