Bivacco Serena (Corte Buè) at 888 m in the Val Grande National Park (province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont). A small emergency shelter; managed by the Val Grande Park, open from March to November. Starting point: Bignuno (555 m), 333 m of elevation gain and about 2 hours' walk. The Corte Buè meadow has a special charm, and the silence offers moments of inner peace in one of the last wilderness areas of Italy.
