The place

A former woodcutters' cabin restored and converted into a bivouac, located at the site called Salvedella along the Strada delle Cime, in the municipality of Borgo Valbelluna (province of Belluno, Veneto). Municipal property, managed by the Mel Hunters' Association. Compact but welcoming rooms with three bunks upstairs, sufficient for an overnight stop. No warden or booking, freely accessible. A good base for hikes on the Venetian foothills towards Rifugio Beta and Bivacco Mont.
