The place
Bivacco Reginaldo Giuliani on the Sassolungo/Langkofel in the Dolomites (Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy), at 3100 m, at the top of the Sassolungo massif. Unstaffed CAI/AVS metal bivouac, used for ascents of the Sassolungo (3181 m) and climbing routes. Mineral dolomite terrain, UNESCO Dolomites heritage site.
Getting there
Deux itinéraires principaux : depuis le Passo Sassolungo (2681m) via la Cengia dei Fassani (~4h), ou depuis le Rifugio Vicenza (2252m) via la Via delle Rocce (~5h). Terrain d'alpinisme/via ferrata, pas une simple randonnée.

A bit of history
Construit en 1935 par la section de Bolzano du Club Alpin Italien (CAI), avec la participation de guides de montagne du Val Gardena. Il s'agirait du premier bivouac fixe installé dans les Dolomites.
