A CAI bivouac set within the heritage landscape of the Madonie (Sicily's second-highest massif, Pizzo Carbonara at 1,979 m). UNESCO Global Geopark since 2015. Home to southern beech and Nebrodi firs (Abies nebrodensis, 32 endemic individuals, one of the rarest trees in the world).
