Bivacco Pedrinelli
The place
Flavio Pedrinelli bivouac at 2353 m, a former World War I military barracks near the Passo del Publino, which separates the Val Sambuzza on the Bergamo (Orobie) side from the Val Livrio on the Valtellina side. A characteristically spartan stone building, part of the Linea Cadorna. Restored and converted into a bivouac by the Amici Escursionisti Sforzatica Dalmine group. Unstaffed refuge, a basic and immersive alpine experience at the heart of the Orobie. Routes from Carona (Bergamo side) or from Albosaggia / Caiolo (Valtellina side). A stage on the Via dei Quattro Passi.
