The place
Bivouac at 1577 m at the Palia locality, municipality of San Gregorio nelle Alpi (Belluno, Veneto), in the Pizzocco group near the Belluno Dolomites National Park. Inaugurated on 16 June 1968 by the CAI Feltre section and the Monte Pizzocco group of Santa Giustina, adapted from the structures of the former Palìa alpine hut. Renovated in 1982-83. Masonry construction with red balconies, a covered outdoor area for wood and a fireplace; inside, a table with benches and bunk beds. Six beds, open all year, water 10 min walk away. Managed by the CAI Feltre section, a popular stop on the Vette Feltrine routes.
