The place

Small bivouac nestled under a large rock overhang in Val Medassa, at 1340 m on Pala Bernarda (municipality of Belluno, Veneto), in the Schiara group. Built in 1975 by CAI Belluno volunteers in memory of friends lost in the mountains. Equipment: two sleeping platforms, an eating platform, a fireplace and a water cistern. A good stop in bad weather or a sudden storm. Access from Case Bortot (BL) via trails 501, 507 then 511 (~1h30). A stage on the Anello della Medassa, linked to the Rifugio VII Alpini at the foot of Monte Pelf.
