The place
Bivouac at the Malga Moregna at 2068 m (external sources say 2081 m), a comfortable shelter on the TransLagorai, a short distance from the main route (Trentino, Italy). Stone construction, basic but with a working wood stove, no mattresses. Maintained by the Gruppo Alpini di Caoria, like the neighbouring bivouacs of Coldosè and Paolo e Nicola, serving hikers of the Vanoi valley (about 5 km from the village of Caoria, Primiero area). The trail passes three beautiful lakes: Lago Brutto, Lago delle Trote and Lago di Moregna, making it a popular destination for hikers exploring the Lagorai massif.
