The place
Bivouac shelter at 1493 m under the portico of the Malga Alpo, on the lower floor of the barn, entrance facing north (municipality of Storo, Trentino). Always open, basic but with the essentials: stove, table, pots, and six bunk sleeping places. Drinking water accessible 200 m away via trail O444. The malga itself, still active (livestock farming and cheesemaking), allows for a hearty stop in season. An exceptional setting in the Valle del Chiese, within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Alpi Ledrensi e Judicaria. Managed by the CAI-SAT section of Storo.
