The place

High-altitude bivouac at 2920 m below the summit of the Testa di Liconi, in the Aosta Valley (Italy). Inaugurated on 9 July 2006, dedicated to Luigi Pascal (1962-1999), mountain guide from Morgex and member of the Aosta Valley mountain rescue service. Capacity of 12 comfortable beds with blankets, electricity from two photovoltaic panels (with light backup heating), collected rainwater, gas cooker for cooking. Access from Morgex, Courmayeur or La Salle in about 4h with no technical difficulty. Considered one of the finest bivouacs in the Aosta Valley for its privileged view of the Mont-Blanc massif.
