Bivacco Lavacchio

The place

Former alpine-pasture hut converted into a bivouac at 1369 m, at the Piani di Lavacchio on Monte Baldo, municipality of Avio (Trentino, Italy). Managed by the SAT (Società Alpinisti Trentini), Avio section. Always open, with a warden present from mid-March to end of May and from July to mid-September. Beautiful hike through the woods above Lake Garda, on the slopes of the Prealps. Access via trail CAI 661 to the Piani di Lavacchio and the hut. In April 2026, the bivouac was targeted by vandals: benches and wood burned, doors forced, donation box emptied.
