Bivacco Lamè at 2422 m, near the Lago Lamè (also called Lago Sfondato), just below the Pizzo San Martino, in the Ossola region (municipality of Vanzone con San Carlo, province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont). Solid masonry construction backed against a rocky spur. Layout: 12 beds and cooking equipment. Access from Vanzone via a good trail leading to the Pianezza, Briga, Motto, and Asinelli (1831 m) alpine pastures, then grassy slopes up to the bivouac. Strategic position between the Valle Anzasca and the Valle Vigezzo, near the Italian-Swiss border. A stage for climbing the Pizzo San Martino and the Lareccio - Valaverta traverse.
