The place

Unstaffed bivouac at 2,480 m in Alta Val di Bon, in the municipality of Ossana (Trentino), managed by the CAI Canzo section (Lombardy). Nine sleeping places on a platform. Inaugurated June 6, 1976 in memory of Jack Canali, a mountaineer who died on January 26, 1972 at age 43, swept away by an avalanche while leading a group of ski mountaineers. Base for traverses of the Presanella group in the southern Rhaetian Alps.

Inaugurated June 6, 1976 in memory of Jack Canali, a 43-year-old mountaineer killed by an avalanche on January 26, 1972.
