The place

Sleeping places: 7. Places on mattresses: 7. Unstaffed, open permanently. Built in 1982. Wooden cabin clad in zinc sheeting and cabled to the rock. 7 places on two stacked sleeping platforms. Mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. A stopover for ascents in the Grandes Jorasses, Leschaux, Talèfre, Triolet and Mont Dolent area. On the eastern flank of Mont Vert de Greuvettaz. 2h30 from Arp Nouva Dèsot at the end of the road in the Val Ferret. Leaving Arp Nouva Dèsot (1,770 m) in the continuation of the road, turn left after 100 m at the sign indicating the bivouac. Cross the Doire de Ferret via wooden bridges and head onto the moraine on the right bank of the Triolet glacier. Midway up the ascent, at around 2,070 metres altitude, leave the moraine to continue over the rocks of Mont Vert de Greuvettaz, still following the path to reach the bivouac. CAI Turin section.
