The place
Bivouac at about 1070 m at the maggengo (mid-altitude alpine pasture) of Frásnìi in Val Tartano (Valtellina, Lombardy), reached via the famous “Ponte nel Cielo,” Europe's highest suspension bridge (140 m). Converted from an old baita, the shelter serves as a gathering place for members of the Consorzio Püstarèsc. A typical stopover for hikers passing through the Sky Bridge toward the Pez dela Prùna.
