The place
Unstaffed bivouac at 2,599 m at the Scatta Minoia, in the municipality of Baceno (Verbano-Cusio-Ossola), managed by the CAI Domodossola section (S.E.O.). Nine beds, open all year. Water available about fifty metres outside. Original construction dating from 1920–1945, renovated in 1990. Located in the western Lepontine Alps, Arbola massif.

Getting there
Access from the Alpe Vannino, passing the Rifugio Margaroli, going around the west side of the Lago del Vannino, then crossing the Rio Forno and climbing the scree slopes up to the Scatta Minoia.
