The place
High-altitude bivouac inaugurated in July 2016 at 1942 m in the municipality of Bienno, in the province of Brescia (Lombardy). Built near the Funtanì del Dutur spring and Monte Paletti, it serves as a stop on the routes linking Dalmone, Monte Trabucco, Rifugio Carlo Tassara and Monte Frerone. Open year-round, freely accessible, no warden or booking. A few basic sleeping places, minimal equipment. A good base for hikes in the Val Camonica and the southern Adamello.
