Bivacco Davide Salvadori
The place
Bivouac at 2645 m on the Passo del Torsoleto, which connects Val Paisco to Val Brandet in the northeastern Orobie Alps (municipality of Corteno Golgi, Brescia). Wanted and built in spring 1994 by the Salvadori family with the CAI Santicolo, the US Corteno Golgi, and numerous volunteers, in memory of young Davide Salvadori, born on July 4 and prematurely lost at age 22 in a car accident in autumn 1992. Solid wooden construction with sheet metal cladding, twelve bunk beds with wool blankets, slippers, water containers, dishes, and a small gas-cartridge stove. Central position on the famous Sentiero 4 luglio trail, followed by the SkyMarathon - Maratona del Cielo.
