The place

Bivouac at 1280 m in the Val Groaro, a few meters from the Tribulina della Guazza and the large Croce dei Pastori, near the Pizzo Formico (Bergamo, Lombardy). Built in 1981 as a supplementary structure to the Tribulina della Guazza, renovated in 1976, the shelter honors the memory of engineer Dante Baroncelli, founder of the CAI Valgandino. Always open, it allows hikers to take shelter or rest as needed. A stopover on the routes of the Pizzo Formico and the Conca del Farno.
