The place
Speleological and mountaineering bivouac at 1741 m in the municipality of Tarvisio (Friuli-Venezia Giulia), in the Mogenza basin of the Mangart group (Julian Alps). Built by the Circolo speleologico e idrografico friulano and the Società Alpina Friulana, inaugurated in 2010 and dedicated to the memory of Daniele Bertolutti, speleologist and CNSAS rescuer (1979-2006). Nine sleeping spots, basic equipment. Managed by the Società Alpina Friulana - CAI Udine section. Good base for mountaineering routes in the Mangart and for exploring the caves of Friuli.
