Bivacco Corradini
The place
Sleeping places: 6. Interior equipment: - Arolla pine interior - 1 table - 6 wooden bunks arranged in tiers to lay your own mattresses on. - In the chests, which when closed form the bunks near the table, you'll find a few very light blankets (don't count on them too much). Water: a little below the bivouac is the small Lac du Fond, with a small trickle feeding it (see photo), but whether it persists all season is not certain... Getting there
Départ de Cesana Torinese, direction Bousson, puis bifurcation vers Thures. Avant Thures, continuer tout droit sur une piste en terre jusqu'au hameau de Rhuilles (parking possible), traverser le pont, puis deux montées raides mènent au bivouac.
The setting
Situé sous la crête nord de la Cime Dormillouse, dans les Alpes Cottiennes côté italien (commune de Cesana Torinese, province de Turin), proche de la frontière avec les Hautes-Alpes françaises. Un petit lac (Lac du Fond) se trouve en contrebas.
A bit of history
Bivouac libre construit en 2019, offert par la famille de Matteo Corradini en sa mémoire ; elle en assure l'entretien et la gestion (pas de gestion CAI officielle).
A word from the warden
Bivouac libre et gratuit, sans gardien ; entretenu directement par la famille Corradini, qui demande une réservation préalable vu la capacité limitée (6 places, bat-flancs en bois, pas de chauffage ni latrines).
