Bivacco Corno Grande
The place
Bivouac at 1575 m near the Rifugio Scoggione above Colico (Lombardy, Italy), about 2 hours from Milan. Managed by the CAI Colico section, modernised and always open. Kitchen equipped with a sink (wood stove and gas cooker), 6 beds, electricity and sockets powered by solar panels. Five access routes: from Monti di Rustico (900 m of ascent over 4 km), Fontanedo (1000 m / 5 km), Villatico via Monte Rat and Strec (1100 m / 6.5 km), Piantedo via Prato delle Ciliege (1300 m / 6.5 km) and Villatico via the Bergamin trail (1100 m / 5.5 km, the steepest and most exposed). Getting there
Départ de Colico, via Villatico, Robustello et Fontanedo, puis Rusico. Environ 2h de marche, ~900 m de dénivelé, passant par Prato, Piana di Formica et Bancol.

Situé à l'Alpe Scoggione (1575 m), versant du Monte Legnone (Alpes Bergamasques, Lombardie), le long de l'ancienne route militaire de la Première Guerre mondiale.

Rénové et modernisé pendant l'été 2021, notamment grâce à une contribution d'ERSAF Région Lombardie.
