Ascent from Saint Rhémy en Bosses via the Col Citrin. Ascent from Jovencan (Vertosan valley). In snowy conditions, after Jovencan it's best to follow the river for as long as possible then climb up one of the gullies shortly before the refuge, or else climb directly to the Col Citrin and then descend while staying as level as possible until below the refuge Owned by the Brédy family. Bivouac always open. See the website www.lovevda.it: This bivouac, inaugurated on 9 October 2021, is dedicated to Claudio Brédy, an official in rural development policy for the regional administration and former mayor of Gignod, who died in 2017 at the age of 53 during a mountain hike in the Valnontey at Cogne. His family, who own this land, decided to build this bivouac here in his memory.
