The place

Bivouac at 2099 m on the Blumone ring route, deep in the Adamello massif (Lombardy). Before its restoration in 2015 the shelter was known as Casinello di Blumone; it was renamed Bivacco Blumone after the works. Self-managed structure, a single room with four bunks fitted with mattresses, pillows and blankets, a wooden table with four chairs, a stove and a cupboard holding various utensils. Reached via trail CAI 626 along well-preserved WWI military mule tracks. Key stage of the Giro del Cornone di Blumone, and a stepping stone toward Cima Laione and Rifugio Tita Secchi.
