The place
Bivouac at 1271 m in the eastern Dolomites — on the border between Cadore (province of Belluno, Veneto) and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. A mid-altitude stopover on the network of alpine bivouacs in the Marmarole / Popera area. The CAI Auronzo section manages several nearby structures (Bivacco Fanton, Bivacco Tiziano), and the Marmarole bivouac network remains one of the wildest areas of Cadore. Location to be verified on Tabacco maps of the area; a simple stop with no services.
