Bivacco Caldenave
The place
Emergency bivouac at 1780 m (per external database) attached to the Rifugio Caldenave "Claudio e Renzo" at 1800 m in the Val Campelle (municipality of Scurelle, Lagorai, Trentino). Building adjacent to the refuge — clean but very basic: low ceilings, benches, no dishware. Access via the SS47, Strigno exit, then direction Rifugio Crucolo and Val Campelle, parking at Tedon, trail through the woods along the stream (~1 h 30). Refuge open only in summer (late May to early October). A stage on the "Alta Via del Granito", a 3-day loop from Malga Sorgazza via Rifugio Ottone Brentari to the Cima d'Asta. Above, the Val dell'Inferno lakes are 40 minutes away, with the Lago Nassere - Malga Nassere loop. One of the most picturesque settings in the Lagorai: enormous erratic boulders, twisted larches, crystal-clear waters.
