The place
Contemporary-architecture Italian bivouac hut, located at 2,528 m altitude in the Vertosan valley (commune of Avise, Aosta Valley). Inaugurated in 2021, designed by the BCW architecture collective. Fully prefabricated structure assembled by helicopter in a matter of days, resting on steel legs that minimise ground impact and can be removed without leaving a trace. Maximum capacity of 12 people. Always open, unstaffed.
