Bivacco Berrone

The place

Historic Italian bivouac shelter, now closed (DB status), recorded in the upper Susa valley (Piedmont). Position and condition uncertain in our sources. Check on site or with the local CAI section before travelling there. Not to be confused with the new Bivacco Stefano Berrone (CLT/aluminium origami design, 2850 m), inaugurated on 14 October 2023 in the Vallone del Seguret between Oulx and Bardonecchia, in memory of Stefano Berrone, an entrepreneur from Sauze d'Oulx who died paragliding in 2022.
