The place
Bivouac at 2275 m built by the Alpini of Grosotto, perched between Monte Varadega (2634 m) and Monte Rasverde (2348 m), with a fine panoramic view over the Valtellina and the Bernina massif. Inside: a large table, crockery, benches and seven upstairs sleeping places. The door is unlocked with a special key hanging on a wire above the threshold. From the Passo Varadega, you go down on the left side to reach the bivouac in less than 10 minutes. Along the approach trails: marmots, choughs and birds of prey are frequently seen.
