Bivacco ANA ai Mangheneti
The place
The 'ANA Telve ai Mangheneti' bivouac, built by the Telve Valsugana (Trentino) Alpini group and inaugurated on 25 August 1985, is set in the Rocoléto area at 2060 m elevation in the Lagorai range. It consists of two separate structures, both comfortable and suited to the needs of mountain hikers. In both buildings, the beds have no mattresses — a deliberate choice given the proximity of the Passo del Manghen, reachable by car in about an hour's walk. An important waypoint on the great Translagorai traverse, a long alpine itinerary that starts at Monte Panarotta and reaches the Passo Rolle after several days of wild walking across the porphyry uplands of the Lagorai. Access from Passo Manghen via SAT (CAI) trails, about 1 hour's walk. An exceptional mineral setting in the uplands of the eastern Lagorai.
Getting there
From Passo Manghen, ~1h via SAT trails. A stage of the Translagorai (Monte Panarotta → Passo Rolle).
The setting
